Garden Border Redesign
Set against a beautiful south-facing brick and flint wall, this border was redesigned to create a classic cottage garden feel with gentle structure and seasonal interest. The client wanted softer, more abundant planting in shades of pink, white, purple and blue, along with trained peach trees to make the most of the warmth and shelter offered by the wall.
Before the redesign, the planting felt sparse and lacked seasonal rhythm, with little to anchor the space through the winter months.
Clipped topiary and ornamental grasses were introduced to provide a clear framework and year-round presence. Layered cottage-style planting brings movement and softness to the border, creating a space that feels generous in planting, yet quietly structured.
